Following info added by Phil 3D ;

Some time was spend wisely by myself and Nick too do some reccy of some new launch sites for the S.W.K.A..

Aberavon,the launch site on the left of the Jackstones,a mixed bag can be expected ie,Bass,Rays,Conger,Cod,Dogs,Whiting,Pouting ect.

If you launch from this point you could paddle around too the right side of the Jackstones onto Aberavon beach you are fishing on clean sandy ground,where you can expect too catch Rays,Turbot,Whiting,Dogs,Bass,and the odd Cod so ive been informed

Aberavon Right hand side /Launch point 2, Info;-

Park vehicle in the same carpark,there is a concrete slipway right onto the beach,there is a nice walk across sand,NO more than 1000 yards,there will be a possibillity of a launch through surf,depending on conditions.

Porthcawl was also assessed on the same day,but batteries decided too give up the ghost,so just some usefull info for those of you whom are interested,Spoke too the Porthcawl R.L.N.I.,staff at the station,explained too them about us/club ect,they said there is generally no charge for Kayakers,but more usefull info was gained by myself,if you call too the harbourmasters hut just down from the R.L.N.I.,station for a fee of £20 per year you have private parking approx 30 yards from the launch site.expect too catch a similar mixed bag as in Aberavon,straight out from the slip you can paddle over too Black Rocks/Newton Point where there is a more broken patch of ground.

Some more pics of the end of the Breakwater at Aberavon.opposite where you can see the cranes if you paddle around the pier opp the location where pic was taken you are onto Morfa Beach.need TOO check on more info onto that mark first ie tide strengths,tide race,currents ect before that mark becomes accsessable too our members,
